Biography

Fritz the cat-like alter ego of the artist from Cadiz Ricardo Olivera. Draw since she can remember, and although cómic is its principal and first love, also serves as an illustrator, cartoonist, designer, painter and engraver.

Fritz the cat-like alter ego of the artist from Cadiz Ricardo Olivera. Draw since she can remember, and although cómic is its principal and first love, also serves as an illustrator, cartoonist, designer, painter and engraver.


Between 1989 and 2005 coordinates and edits the magazine Radio Ethiopia, where he published countless cartoons and illustrations. His work has also appeared in publications such as El Batracio Amarillo, El Climaco, Dos veces breve, El Jueves, El Ajo, Greek magazine 9, the Portuguese Venham or newspaper La Voz de Cadiz.


  In 2008 took over the artistic direction of the collection 12 del Doce, about the Constitution of Cadiz, Rafael Marín scripts, and published by the Diputación de Cádiz.


  It also develops teaching, giving workshops comics and humor along the geography of Cadiz.


  He has several works published in book form: Las criaturas de la tierra incierta (Astiberri, 2005), Bestiario Gaditano (2004-2006) (Diputación de Cádiz, 2007), Mi tío, que estuvo en el infierno, in the collective album Nuestra Guerra Civil (Ariadna Editorial, 2006), Espejismos de andar por casa (El Batracio Amarillo, 2011)   Domingo de Piñata (No. 8 of 12 del Doce), and illustrations for L\\\\\\\'amagatall de las ombres, Pura Maria Garcia. (Planet-Oxford, 2007).
